Applications for 2025-2026 NHS are now CLOSED
The next application window for 2026-2027 will open sometime in Spring of 2026
Students in their sophomore year will receive an email from the NHS sponsor about whether or not they are eligible to apply. From there, they'll be able to fill out an application. Those selected to be members will know within 2-3 weeks of the application due date as to whether or not they were admitted to attend the induction ceremony.
FAQ
Can I put the same activity in both the leadership and co-curricular sections? (or leadership & service, or service & co-curricular, or all three)

You can only put the same activity / club in two different sections if you are talking about two different years. For example, if you were only a member of WISE in your freshman year but became treasurer in your sophomore year, you can put "WISE club" under Co-Curricular activities for 9th grade and "treasurer of WISE" under Leadership for 10th grade. Double-dipping activities of the same year is NOT allowed.

Can I include a job I held after March 2025 in the work experience section?

Yes. The June 2022 to March 2025 time range applies only to the service portion of the application.

I am a sophomore. Does the time range for service still begin on June 2022 for me?

The time range for service begins in the June before your freshman year and ends on March 2025. So for juniors, the time frame is June 2022 - March 2025. For sophomores, the time frame is June 2023 - March 2025.

I have a community service form/proof of service with the sponsor's signature on it. Do I still need to get their signature on the NHS application itself if I'm going to attach the proof that I have?

No. Just attaching the proof would be enough.
